          Hi Dave,

You are almost the same age as me, I hit 59 July 2! Had to comment on the perch fishing. My 9 year old son and I went out on Lake Sammamish in WA, caught 53 perch! We had 2 fish dinners last weekend, and another 4 put in the freezer. Seems like August and September are the months for major perch and small mouth bass here, though I do miss fishing the Great Lakes (we are from Buffalo, NY originally). Happy birthday!

I enjoy perch as much or more as any other fish, salt or fresh. Easy to clean, they fry up perfect, and always clean perfect meat. Many of the ones we were catching were 12-14 inchs long. nice slabs on them....
