  • Fishing with Child Seaport

I had the pleasure of fishing with Jeff and his 25 Mako. I also got the pleasure of using his new windless. Man it was nice to hold the up button on 132 ft of water. We fished Friday night into Saturday. Worked pipeline and some hard limestone bottom. We had a very mixed bag but take home was limited.

Sunrise going to the next spot

It was rough Saturday morning []

Two interesting things-One boat (walk-around) was anchored near one of my spots 35 miles out. Not one light was on. We caught the glimpse of it with the moon light. We put a beam light and lit it up. Someone wake up and put a light on for about 10 min and then shut if off and went back down.

Second was a 37 CC came up to use (100ft) when we where 45 out. He said good morning. I asked if he wanted to just tie up see he was so close. He said we are on a tournament and be ready as 10 more boats are coming. Look at the horizon and sure enough. They trolled right passed us and hooked up. All the boats did. I guess I was on a kingfish hole...LOL

What an idiot to be offshore with no lights. Must be up to something, but the funny thing is that the lawman can see at night, even through the clouds.

You must have found some structure for that triple tail.

Always interested. The weather this weekend is crap though. Maybe out of your neck of the woods it is better.

Nice haul. You a Merc fan now?

There have been a couple accidents here the past couple years with boats being hit or run over while anchored out at night with out lights...just DUMB!
