  • Bottom fishing trip on the Mako

I had a nice trip this past weekend for the red snapper "season." I fished out of Charleston, SC, with a few friends and had a blast! The boat ran well and handled the rough seas on the way out. Not bad fishing for a 41 year old boat on a 100 mile round trip!

I wanted to share a few pics,

    Charles

    Awesome catch.

Cut bait, live bait, jigging, or all the above?

You guys sure know how to bend a pole.

    Good job.

Thanks! We caught the grouper and most of the red snapper on live bait- cigar minnows, herring, and hardtails which we caught on sabikis. The vermillion, pinkies, and a handful of red snapper were caught on cut squid and frozen cigar minnows.
