  • New Guy Here

New-ish Mako owner here in South Louisiana. About 2 months ago, I acquired a 1983 Mako 254 that was in decent shape. The motors were good and the electrical system seemed okay. The hill itself was in good shape, but a little rough around the edges so to speak. I am currently in the process of restoring it to its former glory. I am VERY happy that I found this site because I can use all the help I can get. It is all but completely repainted. Not it is time for the not-fun process of completely rewiring it to get rid of the rat's nest under the console.

Here's a Google Drive folder link if anyone is interested in looking at the pics so far.

I just purchased a 1983 236 inboard. About to go through the same process. Mine looks to be about the same condition. Needs paint, rewired, refit.

Did you have to do any glass work or just sand and paint. Any advice so far.
