1977 Mako 22 potential purchase

Looking at buying a 1977 mako 22 foot with an Evinrude 150 born in 2001. Records for the engine are intact, winterized every year and well-maintained. I am in Monmouth County New Jersey and wondering if there is anyone out there Who is near me to either work out or give me some advice in buying. Transom seems OK ( I pull on it and doesnt really move) and one small soft spot in the forward deck but otherwise seems OK. So are asking $3000 with no trailer. Thank the engine alone must be worth $2,000 or $3000 but this is my first time down this road So looking for some guidance. Thank you
