  • New Mako Owner!

    Good morning!

I just recently purchased a 1973 Mako Beachcraft center console that I plan on fixing up. It needs new flooring, along with a little work on the hull. I'm looking forward to the project and any helpful input from members would be greatly appreciated. One quick question I do have....the enclosed gunnels...is there something in the design that would prevent me from opening that area up for rod storage? I know I'd have to reposition a fuel fill line but....

Hi Gary - Welcome to CM and to the family! [] Should be a good project. Looks like a 19? Never heard of a beachcraft?

The area in the gunwale doesn't have a lot of space from my understanding. There was a recent discussion about this, maybe in the Hoggercap free 19 thread in the for sale thread.

You can also use google to search the forum since the search function doesn't work.
