  • 23 I/O project begins!!

    Hi all

New member with a '76 23i/o project. I live near Toronto Canada and will be using this boat to get to a water access cottage on Georgian Bay.

I bought the boat a few years ago but haven't had time to work on it yet. That is finally about to change!!

The boat came to me as a project. The foam in the floor had been removed and the hole for the i/o had been closed up. Now it is my turn to have some fun. I will be painting (or gel coat, not sure yet) inside and out, new fuel tank, new electrical, new center console with hardtop and an outboard bracket for new power. Not sure if I will get it floating this summer or not...

This is what she looked like when we floated it off the previous owner's trailer at the marina.

Big open space. Planning a new center console with hardtop and full windshield.

Overall she is in good shape. The gel is oxidized and faded but mostly intact.

    Time to get started!!
