First off, hello to all. My name is Matt and I'm from Jacksonville, FL. New to the forum here and I hope to be able to learn and share with y'all. I currently have a 2007 Make Bay 2201 which I know is not a classic, but it's still a pretty good boat. Having said that, it is up for sale ever since I saw a 1988 Mako 231 that was completely redone and up for sale. I instantly fell in love with the boat layout and clean lines. I've always known the older Makos are solid boats built for mother ocean. Well since I saw that boat and listed mine for sale, the classic has sold but I still could not get it off my mind. So I searched the internet up and down the east coast and have refined my search to the 221 or 231 Makos.
Current situation, the bay boat is still for sale and I have found another classic I want. Any information, reviews, pros or cons about this boat would be greatly appreciated.
1991 Mako 221. Electronics have been completely redone, gel coat has been redone, t-top, brand new 2017 yamaha 250 4-stroke on a platform/bracket, transom has been redone and closed in, fuel tank has been replaced. Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing from y'all.
