Greetings everyone, I have been following the site for a while now and finally bit the bullet and registered. I recently inherited a 1980 224 with what looks to be 90's model 225 Evinrude Ocean Pro. Working on getting it from Palm Bay to Saint Cloud within the next month so I can start to get an idea of what I'll need to get it seaworthy. I hear there is a wealth of information shared here and I look forward to learning from you all.

      Thanks Dogman

I have photos of its current situation but haven't had time to try and figure out how to post them.

My aunt and uncle gave it to me due to his Alzheimers diagnosis, sucks receiving it this way but hopefully I can get it cleaned up and running so that I can take him out fishing before things get worse.

Just take your time. It took almost 2 weeks for me to clean up my 21 when I got it. It came wit about 2 ft. of leaves in it and was in need of a good wash and buff . Doing the teak was a chore, but made the old gal look showroom new. Good luck. DM
