Mako builds a good boat...But like all boats, as they age they can have issues. We here have found that these older Makos make a wonderful project, and retain their value better than most. The 20-22 foot Makos work well for the bay as well as the off shore adventures....

    Choose wisely.....and Welcome Aboard...

    Hello:

My name is Scott. I live just outside Fredrick Maryland.

Twenty years ago I was the owner of a 17' Boston Whaler Montauk, but sold it when my kids where born, with the intent to buy something else when they got bigger.

Now that they are, I have been looking around for something that will take me off the coast of New Jersey and Delaware for stipers, and wreck fishing. And fishing in the the Chesapeake. Something with with a deeper V hull than the Whaler.

After doing a few years of research I think that Mako is a brand that has a reputation and will be reasonably priced for a used boat.

I look forward to reading all the posts on this brand, and your advice.

    Thanks in Advance

    Scott
