full Transom

I am looking to put a full transom on my 1976 25'6 mako since the orginal needs to be redone. I am also looking to put on a braCKET / SWIM PLATFORM for my 250 Yamaha 4 stroke - my concern is how the boat will ride after project - looking for input from mako owners who have done the same - thank you for any input to help me make a decision on which way to go with the rebuild - Mike

I did my 21 with a full transom and bracket. Like a new boat with improved ride and better mpg.

My only regret was not completely closing in the transom. I raised 23' to a 25" transom and added a full bracket. I don't think you'll be dissaointed.

I paid over $3K for the bracket alone and did the transom, bracket install, and rigging myself. If I had to guess, I would say anywhere from $7K-10K out the door, depending on how much detail you put into it.
