  • New to CM and beginning restoration on a '73

Hey guys, new to CM and figured I'd start with a total rookie question here- anyone know if this is a 221, 224, 225 etc? Old decal says 'Mako225'. I'm questioning the validity of that (simply judging from photos and data I've found) and figured I'd leave it to the experts here.
    Thanks

Welcome to CM. I believe what you have is a Mako 22.

I do not recall when Mako started with different model numbers, but I thinking it was in the 80's. I believe most boats manufactured before '80 where simply the size; 17, 19, 22, etc...

I have a '73 22 and it has the same deck layout as yours, and from what I can see the same transom shape.

                  Pretty work! Keep it up.
You should add this to the "Project Boats" section.

                  Farley,
What woods did you use for the switch panel? The accent strip caught my eye and then I noticed the third wood.
