  • 1988 Mako Price, Spec Book w/ Max Transom Weights

I thought this would be of interest to those with 1988 model boats, but this may also apply to other years as Mako built some models for years with little to no changes.

    What this includes:

    - Top down pic of boat model

    - Specs

    - Standard equipment

    - Optional equipment with prices

    - Price of boat

    - Max transom weight to maintain self bailing characteristics (bottom right of image in small print).

Please be patient as there are many models to upload and I'm only doing a couple at a time. The Max transom weight print is so small, I've also included it at the top of each model pic.

Now that's some helpful information. Many thanks!

And straight to a "Sticky", even before any replies! Must be some sort of world record.

By the way, the 201 should be 550#.

Duly noted and corrected on the 201 weight. I'll get to the cuddy models over the weekend.

I talked with admin and mentioned it would be a good sticky to have since there are so many questions that come to options, specs and especially the weight of 4 strokes, etc. I hope this is of value to everyone.

This is so cool... I have always wondered why some boats with the same "offshore" console I have are missing the sliding door compartment under the steering wheel. Looks like that was an option. Never knew that.

Tim - the 261 is right after the 251 in the images.

I have some more pics I can upload from a 1987 Mako poster.

If I squint, it looks like the max weight for the 230 is 750, not the 550 listed.

Of course, my eyesight is not perfect.

I noticed that the info you provided shows a brochure for an '88 211 yet the Mako site listed below shows the 211 starting in '89? I ask cause i am looking at an '88 for possible purchase.

                          Regards,

                          Shawn

The website is a loose bundle of information. The information posted is from the sales catalog and dealer pricing book, so I'd put a bit more credit into the hard documents that I posted.
