I know it's been said many times before, but thanks to everyone who has contributed to this forum and especially to those who have documented their repairs and restorations.

I'm no stranger to vintage cars but boats are a huge unknown for me. Using what I learned from everyone here, I passed on a few Mako boats before lucking into a one-owner 23' Walkaround with 850 hours on the original meter and service records. I escaped most of the normal issues since this one had been stored under cover since new and spent most of it's time on a boat lift. Being that old, it does have some minor repairs that are needed, but nothing I can't handle.

Thanks again to everyone for putting their time in to making this such a superb resource for these excellent boats.

Welcome, and congratulations on your purchase! Sounds like a great find.

Post up some pics!! If you need any help getting them to look right this may help.

Here's some basic shots. Sorry to disappoint-- I won't be tearing anything apart until November or December and probably won't be painting until March of 2015.

Does anyone know if the teak was varnished from the factory? I'm going to recoat with SEMCO eventually. Hopefully most of the varnish will flake off before then.

As typical, the acrylic pieces above the cabin entrance have cracked, but because this was in a covered slip the wood shows very few signs of water intrusion. I've had this outside, uncovered, and it's leaking in the usual places. It will be sheltered soon and I'll start going through everything.
