    Hi guys,

I found this site a week or two ago and have been trying the figure out how to join. Thanks to Ed, he has made it possible and I am on board now.

I have a 1990 231, with original Never Rude 225, thats old smokey for short. Runs decent, looks better, and provides fun days on the water. I'll take and post a photo over the weekend

I have checked out some parts places thanks to the postings and lists on this site. I have also enjoyed the rebuild/restore threads. Some great work, and some very nice looking boats.

First question is, does anybody know where I can find the laminate switch label panel for a 1990 vintage 231?

    Thank you,

    George

    Welcome to the fun.

Here are a couple links that you might find helpful:

Google The Marine Connection Liqudators in Ft Pierce. They have some old mako stuff, not sure if they have what you need. It's probably worth a call to see if they have any "general" stock of that sort of thing, but they typically suggest that you come in and dig thru their inventory. Pretty much self serve.

When it comes time to post pics, this may help:

Congrats on a great riding classic. The 231 was my first big boat and its still in great shape considering its 22 yrs old. Great fishing and family fun boat. Welcome to the Owners Club and keep us posted.

Hi guys and thank you for the welcome notes. I have had this 231 for about 12 years but I am on a lake and it really doesn't get as much use as it deserves. It does ride great, is pretty quick looks pretty sharp for it's age.

I am working with Marine Liquidators on a couple of parts, but they don't have the switch label panel I was looking for. So I am still on the hunt.

        Thanks again,

        George

            BoatDude109,

Awesome, that is exactly the switch label panel that I was looking for. I have purchased it, I can use a couple extra switches and I really wanted to have the original panel replaced mine was destroyed by the sun.

I can't imagine how you found that, I had been checking eBay myself and didn't see it.

Your posts are great lots of really nice work you have done.

            Thanks again,
