  • 1979 Mako 21'

I just bought a 1979 21' Mako. There are three homes below the waterline, one is bronze. Do any of these need to be plugged before going out on water?

    Holes, not homes. Fat fingers

Welcome to CM! One of those holes is your drain plug...usually the lowest in the center of the transom. Look in the bilge access to see the back of the transom to confirm. Personally I'd want to trace each hole and know what each is for before going out. One could be a drain and disconnected.

Here is the owners manual for your bat and will answer a lot of questions.

Now post a picture of your Mako!

          Welcome to CM !

I second what Sailor said. Get to know that boat inside and out.

Congrats on the purchase. There are a lot of people with an abundance of knowledge on here that are always willing to help.

Post up some pics when you get a chance....
