  • Got my first Mako!

Finally broke down and purchased my first boat after years of fishing, diving and driving other peoples boats. Not exactly a classic Mako its a 1999 253 walk around. But the last month has certainly been a learning experience. Knew going in that she needed some TLC and the electronics were shot but worked out a good price and have been updating and fixing!

I have attached some before and after pictures. Been using the web to find and research all that I have needed, its amazing what you can find with a little digging. Anyways she is docked in Pompano so I use Hillsboro inlet as home port I see there is some talk about a South East Florida Mako club on another post, which would be cool to be part of, always great to know other Mako owners first hand so I am going to drop a line there.

But anyone who has a 253 walk around let me know I found parts for the windows, replacement sinks, etc. and of course I have a few questions.

Thanks, just replaced the old Sony AM/FM radio with a Fusion 700 so that old radio cover is gone.
