Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been restoring and building wooden boats for 24 years. I make my living as a foreman for a European auto dealer but have been stuck on boats since I was a kid. My father always had wood boats but we also always had a Mako 17 !! I purchased a 95 17 two seasons ago and realized how much fun and what a great little boat it is. Yeah i'm hooked again!! I recently purchased a 73 23 and plan on restoring it to its fullest after seeing what great lines these boats have . Hope I can help with any questions and Thanks! for a great site that put some wind back in my sails..errr ummm outboard!

Welcome Chinewalker (great handle). You've picked a great one to restore-should be fun watching the progress. Sorry for the late welcome, but most members are too busy drooling over the Projects section to check here very often. Welcome back to the obsession!
