  • Mako 17 Project

Hello fellow Mako lovers. I have a 1979 17 Foot standard, and its time for some repairs. Whoever had the boat before me must have over foamed because my deck is bowing up, Still solid but definetly bowing.

My plan is to cut out the deck, and replace the fuel tank. While I'm at it, I'm considering building up the transom and mounting my 90hp OMC four stroke on a clip. Any thoughts on that?

If anyone has an original console laying around, I'm interested.
Measure it with a micrometer...mark it with a grease pencil...cut it with an ax!

    Hi,

I have an original console from my 1977 mako 17 standard. I just finished refurbishing it and then found one from a newer model that I liked better. Holes have been filled and its prepped, ready for primer.

Shoot me an email if you're interested: [email protected] dot com

    I can email you pics.
