  • Mako 284 cc Transponder

I'd know if i can install a through-hull transponder, and if i can, where? Or is suggestable to use a outboard transponder? My concern is about do a hole in the hull if not really necessary...

My Mako is a 284 CC-2007 located in Sorrento Italy.

    Thanks![]

There is no reason why you can't install a thru hull. Most install it on starboard side to the right of the keel , maybe 18 inches from the stern. Not familiar with the newer Makos. Fished on them but never worked on them. Look in electronics thread for .more information. If you want a thru hull transducer than yes drill a hole. They are better. If not go with a transom mount transducer. Good luck
