Yet another newbie here. Just wanted to say hi and thanks in advance. I'm sure I'll be asking plenty of questions.

I currently have an '85 17 ft Shamrock that I'm selling to go bigger. Dad has a 293 Mako that I was running up until I moved away from home. I'm looking at some 21 and 22 footers. To keep it in my price range I'm looking at running/usable projects that need mostly cosmetics.

Definitely will be! I've only lived in NC since last fall, so I'm needing to find some fishing buddies. Wouldn't hurt having some help learning the waters up here too!

On another note, I've found my boat. New thread with pics to come after I pick it up tomorrow after work...pending a successful sea trial. It's 224 w/ twin 115 Mariners (old tower of power) with an estimated 250 hours. I'd rather have a single for maintenance cost reasons, but the for the price it's too good to pass up.
