    newbe from longisland ny ...

    hello every one jut bought my first mako ( well thats what the person selling it told me it was ) its a 1979 19.5 cc . mako .... hin number starts with mku im thinking that this was a utility boat and that is what the u is .. thing is i have not seen one mako hull the same as mine i posted a pic in a diffrent section of the forum ... this is a great site with a lot of knolage of theise boats.... i hope some one can help me out ... boat is verry solid and bought it for a steel .. guy just wanted to get rid of it has a blown motor , came with a trailer all for $350 .. but like i said not sure if its a mako or not ......thank you guys .. hope to hear from som one ... hear is the same pic ...

            yeah the guy who i bought it from told me that he had the hull looked over by a guy out in montaulk ny and the guy said that this is a rare hull ??? and that it is indeed a mako hull ( but i didnt beleave him i never saw a mako look like this) he also told me that the motor was blown and need to rot some where off the boat .. two days ago i had the cowling off of the motor and spun the flyweel by hand and it wasnt frozen .. hooked up my batt from my other boat( i figured hay if its blown i cant really hurt anything) and started to play around with the wiring ... and wouldnt you know it she fired rite up , had her running for about 35 to 40 min and she rand good wound up being a bad kill switch... just to add the starting of my hin for this boat is mku ... she is a verry solid boat for the money i spend i cant go wrong ... nice little bay boat .
