  • 24 with twin 150 ?

    Hey all,

So I have a recent purchase of a 24 mako that I would like to put a platform on with twin 150 or twin 115. I plan to add a platform that has some buoyancy to to help out with weight . Does anyone have any experience with this setup? Performance specs? Also any issues with excessive weight?

Welcome to CM! Are you talking about a 241? With twin 150's it should run pretty good. I've ridden in a 241 with twin 225's and it was a very fast boat.

I had twin Yamaha F-150's on my 241, which was OK, but when repowered I went to twin F-200's and very happy now, even have better fuel economy. I would not consider going smaller than 150's.
