Well I finally had a good enough year last year at work to be able to start the project of my dreams. I inherited my fathers 1983 mako 224 back in 2010 and has been my dream to make it one of the best equipped 224s on the water today. Previously powered by an old mercury bluewater 200, I have been wanting to repower (along with a laundry list of other upgrades to come) since I inherited the boat. Its been gone for about 2 weeks and I received notice today from A&M marine that my new transom is just about done. Were just waiting on my 30 flotation bracket to come in from A&J brackets, then it will be time for my 2018 Suzuki Df300 to be mounted up. Hoping to have it back in time for opening day of spring rockfish season. Ill be posting pictures throughout the process as well as some speed and mpg #s once I get it back and on the water. Hard to believe but to my knowledge dating back to when it was new this boat has never officially been named. Beings my last name is Zeller and the high hopes and bigs dreams I have for her I am making it official... I hope you will all enjoy the transformation and stories to come from the Over Zellous

Congrats on the progress. If you have any questions or need information please feel to reach out. however we all think our 224's are the best equipped...[] They ride like a dream. I would be interested on the transom reform. Any pictures?

I removed the aft side boxes. Completely different boat.
