  • 1989 Mako 231 Prop Size

id="size3">id="size2">I have an 89 Mako 231 with a 2002 Yamaha 200 salt water series OX66 Fuel injected. I am not sure what size/Pitch the current prop is but widid="size5">e open I am only at 5000 - 5100 RPM. Can anyone tell me what size prop I should have and also what top end speed should be?

Any information is appreciated!id="size6">id="blue">id="size2">id="Ti mes New Roman">

Without knowing what prop you have, very hard to tell.

Mount motor all the way up, for starters.

Typically, you want to drop pitch to pick up RPMs...but it can be more complicated than that.

So, what size prop do you have now?

In terms of top speed, many factors...do you have a t-top on the boat?
