    Has a 225 EFI Mercury on it . OIl pump gave out, engine seized,not worth rebuilding.....Sooooooo found a strong clean evinrude OPro 150....100lbs lighter than the efi,,,,I am not top end speed freak, just fishin,scalloping and cruising....150hpOpti I think was stock on these original

    You can never have too much power. Seriously.

    I suspect you'll never be happy with a 30% reduction in power. Will it work? Probably. But that's a lot of work to swap over engines. I'd think long and hard before pulling the trigger on that one.

      I think the 150 will move the boat around but you would be disappointed with the performance. 200hp would be ok, 225hp would be pretty good, 250hp would be great.

        I found a 225hp ocean pro......perfect fit/////150hp would of sucked
