Well the work has finally begun. I did not anticipate the bracket removal being such a challenge, but that was fun. I still have some de-rigging to do before the grinder gets dusted off, but I am planning to do alot of the destruction before going to the shop for rebuild.

The 3 shocking things about this conversion; the original cutout has no core (hallow cavity), the wood was left exposed when rigging holes were drilled, and they tried to seal the bracket on top of anti-fouling bottom paint. Trim tab pockets will be removed.

The deck will be level, holes from twin fuel/water separators will get filled in, stops for original splashboard will be cutoff and side made smooth, tabs on deck were splash board hinges mount will be ground off and smoothed out.

Bracket will need some attention before it is ready to go back on as well.

I see you have a bracket and full transom - does your boat still ride great better or worse / does it porpoise at all / thanks Mike

As far as better or worse, I purchased after the conversion, so I never ran the boat without a bracket and cannot compare. I did run with the old 200's and my single 300, and can say I am thrilled with the way this boat rides. In my opinion this is a great riding hull, and I do not have an issue with porpoising. I don't believe I have ever run a boat that didn't porpoise at some point based off speed, conditions, motor position, etc..., so yes this boat has/does porpoise, but it is not a issue and slight tweak with throttle, trim, or tabs, and it is worked out.
