I bought this 1988 (so says the title) 261. It is powered with 2 Johnson 225. So far I have done:

    New engine gauges

Blue LED interior lights (each corner)

    Blue LED gunnel lights

    New Bennett trim pump

    New live well pumps

New fresh water and salt water wash down pumps

Rewired the gunnel and interior lights

New LED anchor and Nav lights

Removed a lot of excess wire from previous crap installations

    New Polk Audio UM1A stereo

    New Rockford Fosgate speakers

    Garmin 741sx gps/fish finder/ chart plotter (

    I already had this)

Whats planned in the near future:

    New tank

    Hull striped and painted

    LED spreader lights

    LED Spot Light

    New Canvas and cushions

How do I ad pictures? Do I have to have them on a share site? I want to upload them from my iPad.

Looks like that is a pay site. Is there a free version? I only plan to load pics to this website.

I use photobucket as well, it is free although they're always shoving the paid crap down your throat every time you login. Whenever it asks you to upgrade just click on the photobucket icon and it'll redirect you. Theres a sticky post in the new members / general tab detailing how to link pictures if you need help.

Use imgur. An 88 261 is the perfect year. Have a friend with a 90 261 with twin Evenrude 250's. Damn thing rides like you're sitting on a cloud and will do ~55 with 10 dudes in it. That is a BIG 26' boat too! Figure out the pics!

Sorry it’s been so long, life and this pandemic have gotten in the way. My Mako is 1988 261 with the transom closed in. It is completely torn apart. Hopefully it will be done by February. Still in need of twin 200s. Here are a few pictures from when I got her.
