Been slow the last couple weeks. But have been acquiring materials to get this all finished! I have worked on the fuel system a bit more. Kinda threw together a fuel cell lid, and got the cell dropped into place. Next I have to encapsulate the lid in 1708, further secure the cell, and hook up the fuel system.

Got the lines in, replaced the vent fitting. I was unable to loop the vent line due to the original location being so close to the top of the gunwale. I lower the vent as much as I could but still unable to produce a good loop without having a low point. Grounded the fill fitting and the tank.

still working on finishing the cell cover and securing the tank. But it’s coming along slowly

Started the glassing step of the fuel cell lid. Started with resin and microballoons to make radius in the corners before laying down the 1708

Was checking out the bilge and noticed the raw water intake set up was seriously sub par.. plastic looking seacock, plastic intake, no mounting support. So they shit had to go wasn’t even sealed in well and was loose. Had to cut the plastic intake. Had a 3/4” (~1.25” OD) intake in a 1.5” hole. I’m going to order new 1” inlet, mounting bracket, and Seacock from Groko

About to close up and put the console back on.

Moving slow, wife just gave birth to our little baby boy so time and energy almost done currently exist. But still determined to get this squared away enough to get it in the water

First off congratulations on the bouncing baby boy!

Many of us have been there, the boat fun slowwws way down, between the evening feeding shifts and helping out with everything else. Just set small goals for each day/week, I mean small. Otherwise you'll get frustrated, she'll get pissed, no one will be happy.

Just for reference, it will be about 6 months (if you're lucky) before they sleep through the night and then another month of you waking up in a cold sweat panic, because they are sleeping...

I think it was a great success. Now to find out how long it will take to cure. I had a wax base and only did two passes.

Used no reducers and mixed it a little hot due to my cold unheated garage

cleaning the gun was also not bad, bit of mineral spirits and 5 minuets of elbow grease has it looking brand new again

Planning out the electrical system. Going to get the distribution/protection all squared away. Any input or pictures of what you have done with pros/cons or what you would have liked to do better or something you did that you love would be greatly appreciated. I’m looking for simple, clean and organized

                            thanks!
