had boat inspected by my glass guy, transom is solid no reason to tear it out at this point. Going to cut part of fuel coffin out to do some keel repair and then start fabricating the live well lids and the the seat hatches. Also going to pull all hardware and remaining hatches out of the boat and start filling screw holes and repairing cracks in the gelcoat. Once that's done I will rebuild front of console with coosa and new glass.
I do need a place in central FL that can do soda blasting to get the bottom paint off. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I priced a full rebuild with Vida Mar Custom Boatworks last year and they were very reasonable. I'm pretty sure they can handle anything you need.

Haven't had much time to do anything but started stripping the remaining hardware, and cleaning out the bilge. working on removing the thru hulls and then going to flip it over on the trailer to get it soda blasted. Should have it all stripped to night hopefully and then picking on Jeff Donovan (child - sea- port) to use his tractor and forklift to roll her over for some love

Cut the bottom of the fuel coffin out to access the keel for repair . Tons of wet foam underneath Looks like there was a hole under the Console that allowed bilge water to run forward . dug out most of the foam last night and will finish today. Going to flip it over for stripping of the bottom paint and keel repair, then start any other bottom repairs, prime and paint. and that blob under the console is a rag that was foamed In from the factory. I think maybe they tried to use it to stop the flow of foam from going into the console area.....it smells like dirty ass

ID:	550766 Spent the day working on the boat since it was raining all day. Got all the thru hulls out except for bilge bump. I can't get on it because it is so tight between bilge access and bottom of bilge. May end up ha ing to cut it out. Once repaired, sanded, primed and painted inplan on replacing all thru hulls with gemlux stainless and ss ball valves on all of them. No more plastic pvc.

3 weeks behind schedule due to covid. Wife brought it home from her school teaching job. Both of us are ok now although she got a weeks stays in Winter Haven Hospital because of it. Spent the morning at Jeff Donovan's place flipping this thing over for soda blasting, repair. Primer and paint. Hopefully will start making some significant progress in the coming weeks

Looks like you have an indoor shop, is that yours, rental space, someone elses space?

I ask because I'm relegated to working outside, and the heat and sun kills me.

That was my glass guys shop but I have a 20x40 garage with double wide roll up door my 254 stays in. I will pull it Out and stick this one in the garage when I get to sanding this coming weekend.

Sanding sucks especially in Florida when it is 90 + outside

Sanding in the heat/humidity is tiring....on the bright side, the bottom is up and you are standing!

                            Keep up the dirty work
