  • Potential new project 1978 Mako 25

Hey Everyone, currently I have a 21’ Cape Horn, looking to upgrade to a bigger boat in the next few months. Came across a classic (1978) Mako 25. Seller states transom has been replaced with pourable ceramic, tanks need replacing, but stringers and deck are solid. I haven’t looked at the boat yet but my biggest concern is the Euro style transom (mako didn’t make a euro 25 in 1978). Seller says his dad owns a boat yard and did the conversion to euro himself. What does everything thing a hull offer this era may be worth? Any opinions on ride, dryness, and fish ability?

I have seen this on Facebook, I don’t think they added on the hull I believe they just cut the sides at an angle for the euro appearance. But you are correct, euro’s were on the scene till 94/95

That is correct. This hull is in Mobile and I have seen in person. The owner is a member (can't remember user name) and he does glass paint work. That transom is solid.
