  • 1988 Mako 248 Walkaround Project

    Hi guys,

Writing from El Salvador, Central America and recently joined the Classic Mako forum.

My grandfather was a fishing enthusiast and a Mako boat owner... unfortunately he passed away when I was only 4 years old.

Today, I am 26 years old and I have decided to take on the restoration project of my grandfather's 1988 Mako 248 WA. Last time the boat touched water was on 2007... long time ago.

I will definitely need some help with where to find replacement parts and feedback from you guys so I will be reaching out.

Hope you all are staying safe!

    Best,
    Federico

Good luck.... I've been working on a 1987 248WA and will probably be moving on to something with twin outboards. I currently have a single 225 but the boat needs to be re-powered, so I'm going to move on to something else. Good luck they are solid boats!
