  • PVC foam board (aka Cel-tec)

Anyone use PVC foam board (not Azek) to make non 'structural' parts? This stuff comes in 1/2" and 3/4" thick 4x8 ft sheets.

I was thinking of making a footrest insert for the console, and it would be much easier to cut, route and epoxy this stuff. Then sand, prime and paint than to try to make a mold, pva, gel, fiberglass etc.

    Thoughts?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, you could use starboard as well.
Found this if you don’t feel like building something, seems a little expensive but nothing for boats is ever cheap.

I made the lip for my tilting console out of it. Its fairly soft, but very workable.

I would not reccomend starboard u less you burn it first... I think I will be using some pvc board for a few of my parts on my 261.
