  • Finished the removal of the 200 HPDIs this morning. Finished up removal of controls as new owners pulled into my driveway. Rented a motor hoist and was able get both motors off and transferred into his trailer. Said farewell to the HPDIs. Next week another guy is coming for the HPDIs 150s. The new motors are stored on trailer waiting to be installed next week when Steve my son will be finished tax season. I've laid out the new wiring harnesses which are all plug and play design.

    • We were able to get new power mounted today. Steve arrived in afternoon and we got motors installed. Our local Yamaha dealer allowed us to use their specialty eyelift tool. Got the steering back together and tomorrow will finish installing power and fuel lines. Fly by wire plug and play connections will be next with modification to helm for start/killswitch. Can wait to get on the water

        • We had a busy day today. Guys came from Conn. to pick up the 150HPDIs. Finished loading motors into his truck and off they went to their return trip. Steve and I returned to finishing up power, fuel and data cables. We stopped for dinner and connected supply water on muffs. Steve turned the key and fired up starboard motor. The 4 cycle motors sound like a running car. We switched water supply and fired up the port motor. No issues with either motor great!!!. Next we're going to install prop and see if we can drop it in locally and sea trail with new power.

          • Made template for new enclosed transom. Have starboard pieces ready to fit and install. Ordered a new bloster to fit across back. Hopefully with this design it will prevent water from coming onto the deck while back trolling in rough seas. Design will be completely removal if desired.

            • Got back from Florida just when COVID-19 epidemic fired up. Our spring to do list isn't as pressing because who knows when we will be able to get back on the water. Steve's tax season got extended until July so the pressure is somewhat off. With boat at the house makes it easier to get projects done. First project was to construct a removal closed transom assembly. Another boat project is relocating the Racors to rear box areas and installing Tempress hatch in place of the Mako housing. Other project is to plumb the fish boxes to discharge rain water via pump enclosure to thru hull rather than discharging in bilge. Biggest upgrade is to our Tidewater roller trailer replacing the old disc brakes with Kodiak stainless hubs and rotors. Have all parts to start work just waiting for nicer weather.. Hope everyone are doing well in these trying times.

                • Rather than spend additional money on our existing Tidewater trailer we decided to upgrade to next capacity Tidewater roller trailer. We upgraded to next higher weight capacity because we are trailering more since leaving our marina. Old trailer has made four trips to Montauk, Old trailer is already sold and as soon as your local dealer can transfer the boat this week we will be set.

                      • Hello Keyman. My mouth waters when I look at whats hanging off the back of that boat. I want that same setup for my boat but I just spent 30k on a JD tractor and the wife says NO.! I had the chance of a lifetime to get a 25B on a brand new trailer 7years ago for 5k no kidding. Had to drive through Miami hood to see it. Thanks for the boat porn, Bill
