  • That looks good! Teleflex makes a mounting template #HA5419. Its a 20* reversible mounting plate It may be what you are wanting-Iam guessing here. Again your boat looks good.

      • Ryan;

        Nice job on the 17. Appreciate all the details on your project. I am starting a complete restoration on my 17 between now and Christmas. Will post pics as it develops.

          • Man that looks beautiful. How do you get such nice rounded corners for the kiwigrip on the hatches and other areas?

              Hours and hours bending over and crawling around on the deck laying tape.

              The boat really looks nice, you have done a great job. Glad that stencil worked for you.[]

                Thanks for the compliments!

                I used a some PVC pieces and traced them onto the tape. Then go back with a razor and cut them out...You don't need the expensive thin line stuff used for pin striping. This stuff worked fine with regular blue painters tape.

                • She really looks great. You should be proud.

                  I can't wait to get to that point in my build.

                  • Wow Ryan, that looks amazing.

                    Reminds me of the old Silver King flats boats. I always liked that contrasting non-skid look.

                          I bought the stencils and sold one to Ryan, I think I got them from Signman, but to sure you have to check Eddies project page, I got them from the same guy he did, its just a few pages to sort thru.[]

                            Thanks Stick! Boats builds like yours kept me going []

                            I haven't seen anything negative about the kiwi yet. No smell, no mess and much easier to apply than anything else I have used. I was going to put a little on my dads commercial boat and see how long it lasts.

                            • Any advice on cutting out the floor? I am in the beginning phases of refurbing a 1970 17' angler and found water all in the side and bottom foam. I am trying to pull the liner up so I can scrap the foam out. Think I might have to cut the floor out, pull the liner up and then pry the floor out.
