  • Fuel Guage on 241

Hi, I'm new to the world of working on boats. I have a 1990 MAKO 241 with twin 1995 Johnsons. The direct reading fuel guage on my 241 has stopped working. I want to replace it with a console mounted guage. Under the deck plate I can see a pink wire, a green wire, and a black wire. Can I use these wires to connect up the sending unit for the console mounted fuel guage? Thanks in advance.

Neither of my fuel gauges work, so I installed a floscan. Now I always know exactly how much gas I have left. ...(unless some dumbass hits the reset switch before I have a chance to look at it.)

thanks for the response. I have heard lots of good things about floscans but the cost is more than I can afford at this time.

They are not cheap, but mine is dead accurate. If it says I burned 20 gallons, I'll put 20 back and the tanks are full. I'm also hoping this means my tanks aren't leaking too badly
