    I saw an earlier post on the best way to remove old bottom paint (the easist way). Can you guys refresh my memory from your your tried and true methods.

    I seem to remember a product called BIX from home depot. you might want to search it on here and on thehulltruth.com hope that helps..

      There are about a hundered different ways and every one has there favorites here are a few:

      Sanding

      Grinding

      Sandblasting

      Hydroblasting

      Stripping

      -bix (there is one kind they like better than others)

      -peel away

      -dad's

      -etc

      Followed by laquer thinner and sanding

      I have heard that the hydro blasting is very easy. I may try that when I get there.
