  • New Compass

    I got the compass last week. It's a RITCHIE FN-203 COMPASS.



    It's hard to tell in this pix, how big it is, but I planned for that size when I put the mounting pad on the instrument pod.

    The numbers are 5/16in tall and no one should have a hard time reading it. This compass was recommended for a 30ft boat as the smallest boat. HeHe I never seen one this big on anyone's 23 to 26ft boat.

    A friend of mine has one mounted on the dash board just inside the windshield (31' Bertram Bahia Mar). You can read your course from the tuna tower looking down thru the windshield. Also Ed, because the card is so big, the swing is soft and easy. Nice compass.
