Rub Rail

does anyone know if the 50ft rub rail kit is enough to cover the 79 235 mako. My old one measures out at 47 feet. Does the new one shrink once installed? Any help would be appreciated.

They do shrink some, but you should be fine with the 50ftr.

I don't know where your getting the rubrail from, but check out Hamilton Marine.

Just got done reading a Taco marine manual. It said to take the length x 2 plus the beam x 2 and that will give you the proper amount of rubrail. Not sure - haven't done it myself
