I put a pair of 200 Suzuki Four strokes on mine. I was concerned about the weight, but it sits pretty nice. I get some water in the transom, but I fish in some nasty weather so any cut out will let some water in.

I cruise around 23-25 MPH at 2GPM. Top end seems to be around 38. Those numbers are dependant on load. I havent put enough hours on it to give better info.

Congrats on the 260. I have one and love it. I can't comment on a repower since I'm still running the original 2 smokes. Would love to hear others experiences.

I am about to purchase a Mako 260 1990 notched transom, thinking of repowering, has anyone have any first hand experience with the new four strokes, suzuki, yamaha etc.Are 250s too much weight for these boats?
