  • Mako model confusion

There is a Mako for sale in Mobile Alabama on Craigslist advertised as a 231. It even says 231 on the side. I didnt think they made a closed transom 231. I wondered if it was a 221b or 232? Any opinion?

That boat is a 232. When that ad was 1st posted on CL I wrote the dealer in an attempt to correct, but they were insistent it was a 231.

Nope. NO transom ever on 231 unless it was added later. Either a 232 or 221b as you suggested.

Kinda what I thought. Someone put a 231 emblum on the side of the boat. Is there any obvious differences between the 232 and 221B?

221 is 2110 with a 120 gallon fuel tank capacity ( not sure of hull weight).

            232 is 228 with a 150 gallon fuel tank capacity @ 3200 lbs.

The 231 is 232 with 160gal fuel capacity @2880 lbs
