Hey all, looking to repower my boat. Currently have a 225 Yamaha saltwater series 2 stroke. What is the max horsepower 4 stroke I can use? Also have the Armstrong transom bracket. Thanks

I have a 1992 223with a 225 Yamaha two stroke on a Armstrong bracket. Went with a 250 Yamaha four stroke and was under powered bad. Tried raising and lowering the motor, wedges and several different props with no better results. Sold that motor and put a 250 Yamaha HPDI on. now I have plenty of power.

OP--your boat is rated to take 280 hp max.
