I know you said outboard, but for what its worth I had a 1976 Mako 23 Straight inboard and I loved the ride. Used primarily around Boston Harbor and striped bass fishing. Nice and stable and handled the chop well.
Im starting to plan my next project and wondering if anyone with a late model 3 piece 23 with the shallow deadrise has comments on the ride particularly in chop.
