redoing cooler seat screws?

Have a 89 171 and the screws into the floor holding the cooler seat down are loose.

Whats the easiest way to get them anchored back down? Can I simply screw in the next larger size? With maybe some 4200 or JB weld marine?

I have a tube of both 4200 and JB weld marine on hand.

The easiest is the 4200 + larger screw. I would try the stainless toggle bolt if there is room for the toggle to go in & open up.

I'd over drill the hole slightly, fill with epoxy/JB, then re-drill a pilot hole for your existing screw size.

Thats an easy, permamnent fix. 4200 is a mess IMO
