Searching for a new to me used outboard

Hey guys, I cant afford to go with a new outboard. Any help with good used outboard dealers in the mid Atlantic ?

They are not necessarily a used motor dealer but they do a lot of re-powers and sell the used motors. I use these guys for service they are great and very honest. Schrader Yatch Sales in Point Pleasant. I was recently talking to them about used motors because I am probably going that route in a couple years.

Email Brian Franzen of Franzen marine. He's in Miami, but shipping was only about $300 to MA. I got my motor from him and plan on upgrading with him again. Motors are $$ and our season is too short to spend a lot of money in my opinion..

He has an ebay store too, but may have more inventory than listed.

I spoke to Brian Franzen also. I was super close to buying a motor from him (before I found one locally). He quoted me 200$ for shipping to Long Island.

Hey Brian..how's it going? Are you having issues with your engine? As the other guys said, the dealers sometimes take old engines as trades. When my dad bought his new yammie last fall from Minmar in Sea Isle they gave him some cash for his old engine and no doubt they fixed it and put it up for sale or used it for parts.

I'll give another kudo to Franzen Marine. I bought an engine through ebay from him. Actually he's in Tampa. I drove there to pick it up. He is a stand up guy. Engine was as advertised and ran great.
