SPENT THE BEST PART OF TWO WEEKS. PREPPING,HARDWARE, SANDING, REPAIRING, EPOXY...SOME GLASS...ALL THE SPIDER CRACKS, SANDING AND PRIMING. THE FIRST TWO COATS WENT ON VERY WELL...LOOKS GREAT.... THIS IS ALL FROM THE RUB RAIL IN. THEN I TAPED OUT FOR NON-SKID AND ROLLED THAT ON WITH GRIP TEX. IT DID NOT COME OUT WELL...DISCOLORATION... I SPENT TWO HOURS SANDING IT OFF. GONNA TAKE A BREAK AND EVALUATE WHAT WENT WRONG. BOAT IS STILL TAPED AND AFTERNOON RAIN FORECASTED THE NEXT WEEK. ANY BODY BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD.

need more info, what primer? What did you use to clean the primer before paint? How did you mix the paint? My initial guess is that the paint doesn't like the primer you used or the cleaner you used prior to paint.

You need to detail your process and mixing ratios if you want any help. And did you use Awlgrip or Awlcraft?

Thank you, Heretofore, all processes have been correct with great results. I used AWLGRIP products exclusively. 545 primer..2 coats, proper mix of topside paint. Used AWLGRIP Surface Cleaner....I was rushed by the work and available weather window. Some spots were discolored...probably contaminated...had someone helping sweating profusely in Southern Fla between Morning Dew and afternoon heat. I elected to sand the non skid all off inside the tape...gunnels to bow, deck from step up at console forward. So that is where i am now.....Forecast is for rain...so i will take a step back and regroup. Do i pull off all the tape to ensure time and weather has not compromised the work and evenly sand the edge? Thoughts on how to proceed...Part of me says... pull the tape to ensure quality. Being so far into it; It was a frustrating experience having a quality issue in the last process. Struck out with the bases loaded.
