  • Deck Fish Box Gutters

I have a 97 221 mako with in deck fish boxes in the bow and behind leaning post in the stern. Problem is that when I wash down boat or it rains all dirt, sand, potato chips etc gets trapped in the gutters. Maybe that was what they were designed to do, but would prefer to have this dirt and sand go out the scuppers or though bilge pump without getting trapped in gutters when washing down the boa. Any suggestions - like drilling hole in gutter and putting some sort of drain tube in? Looks like crap when open up the fish hatches on an otherwise clean deck.

    Thanks

Pretty much the way it is, wash the fish boxes out first seems to work the best for me. Use the hose to blast that stuff out of there then brush it all towards the stern.

I was not aware that the 221 had in-deck fish boxes? Can you post a picture?
