  • 1984 Mako 224 Help

Last year, my dad bought a 1984 Mako 224 that came with twin 1996 Evinrude 90SLEDs. The motors had
All this work would have to be done by a someone else as my dad is constantly tied up with work. That is why I am creating this thread. My dad doesnt have time to. I need a general price for all of this that my dad and I have thought of having done to the Mako. I am sure some people on this website have had similar things done to their boat. Anything at all is helpful. Also, please leave your opinions on what to do with the Mako as well. I want to hear other people's thoughts too. I can post pictures of the Mako later today for anyone wanting to see it. If you have any questions, leave them down below and I will try to answer them as soon as possible.id="Times New Roman">

Your asking for a lot of work to have someone else do it. The transom will be about $5K, bracket $2k, another $3K in misc items that will come up. The aft boxes are the best thing I ever did when I removed this winter. What about the tank? If you are doing all this might want to replace. That is another $1500.

The console is molded into the hull so no way to replace. You can add to it and redesign.

Feel free to email me at mlillis224 at gmail.com if you have questions. Mine is also a 1984.

The tank may have been replaced already by a different owner but it is definitely something to consider to be looked at. I actually saw your exact thread about your aft boxes and they look great! So much space and access to the rod holders must be nice. We are also thinking of doing other things but I really wanted a general price for most of the stuff. Thanks for giving me some general prices and letting me know that the console cant truly be replaced.
