    Based on the angle of the bracket, I would bet it acts like a very large trim tab and forces the bow down so far that bow steer is a major issue. That one definitely looks like a homemade job.

    To answer your question, yes you can use a 25" motor on a flotation bracket.

      Id figure the reason that guy pulled the motor and is selling the boat after all that work is not because it rode so well...

        My old boat. Sold it last May. Solid boat but needed cosmetic makeover. New owner did makeover, closed in transom, and added bracket. He sent me pictures of restoration. Looked like good workmanship. Dont know how it does with bracket but before it ran 42 with a 150 outboard.

          Guy said he did the bracket that way so he would not have to install trim tabs to keep the bow down? Lol, don't know how well this will work, going to hang an HPDI 200 on it in 2 weeks. I will let y'all guys know how it did soon. Thanks
