  • Why so many models ?????

I am relatively new here and I will be honest and say that I joined to get more knowledge on Mako boats because I may buy one . I looked at a 192 that I liked but didnt like the engine. Then I learn there is a 191 . Why two 19 ft boats? They are marginally different . When I go on the specs , Mako seems to do this with other models too. Can anyone bring some clarity to this. Now I dont know which 19ft Mako is right for me the 192 or the 191!!!!

You don't put years in this post, but regarding the years you mentioned in THT post (2000 - 2003) 1995 is the changing of the guard.

I know this doesn't answer your original question, but it may shed some light on the history of Mako in general.
    1984 Mako 228 w/ 175hp E-Tec [br]1983 SeaRay 26\' Sundancer w/ 454 Big Block spinning Volvo DuoProps (Sold)[br]1989 Wahoo 17\' CC w/ 88hp Evinrude (vacationing in Key West)[br]
